Our Patriarch
His Beatitude Archbishop Corey Alexander Jenkins is a worshipper and servant-leader who desires to align people with the plans and purposes of God for their lives. He is the founding Patriarch of the United Apostolic and Charismatic Church (formerly the United Anglican Convergence Church), an extraterritorial Jurisdiction of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church that brings together the three historical streams of Christian Worship and practice and provides a way for independent churches, dioceses, parachurch ministries, and clergy to network and partner with each other for mutual edification and empowerment. He also serves as the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Christ the Lamb and Senior Pastor of the Christian Empowerment Church, a gathering of believers with a mission to build people and transform lives. He shares this ministry with his wife of over twenty-four years, The Very Reverend Bonita R. Jenkins.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Archbishop Jenkins was blessed to come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at an early age. He was ordained an Elder in 2006 and Pastor in 2007 at the hands of Bishop (Archbishop) D. Myles Golphin, Presiding Prelate of Living In Favor Global Network, and served as National Worship Leader and Chief Adjutant. In July 2012, He was commissioned as an Apostle, and In December 2013, he was initially consecrated Bishop.
In 2016, sensing a call to deepen his Christian experience, Archbishop Corey transferred into Liturgical/Sacramental ministry and was brought into Holy Orders of the Deaconate and Priesthood of the Abyssinian Apostolic Church. Later that year, Archbishop Jenkins was ordained and consecrated Archbishop in the Lord’s Church and established the Jurisdiction, which would be called the United Anglican Convergence Church. In November of 2018, at the Inaugural General Assembly of the United Anglican Convergence Church, Archbishop Corey received Patriarchal elevation at the hands of Archbishop Darel E. Chase.
Archbishop Jenkins has received a Certificate in Episcopal Studies from the Graduate School of Episcopal Studies, a Certificate in Episcopal Studies from Metropolitan Christian University, and has attended the Institute for Paleo-Orthodox Christian Studies. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry, a Master of Divinity, and an Honorary Doctor of Divinity from Metropolitan Christian University.
Archbishop’s Episcopal Motto is: “Dei Gratia Servio,” which is Latin for “By the Grace of God I Serve.”
